WELCOME TO THE VILLAGE
The FernDogVillage is a community of dog owners and lovers in the Northern NJ area. The site was created so that people with dogs can share information, organize group outings, schedule play dates, see what dog related events are coming up, research local businesses and much, much more.
It’s a social environment: the more you contribute, the better the content, so don’t be shy. I’ve enabled just about everything to allow comments and reviews and encourage you to add your feedback to anything and everything.
This site is a work in progress and will be constantly evolving to stay new and useful. My hope is that it will bring all the dog owners in our area together so that we can enhance our world with our dogs.
HOW TO USE THIS SITE
First thing you need to do is create your profile with all your basic info. Then, look for an email to confirm your profile (if you don’t see it make sure it’s not in your spam folder). Once you’re logged in you will be able to contribute by joining and posting in the various groups so you can network with other like-minded people and their pooches. If you want to ask a question and get feedback from the Village community create a new post in the Forum page and pick which group best fits your question. If you’re not sure you can post it in the Misc. Dog Stuff group.
If you want to know about any dog related services in the area, check out the Biz pages. I stongly encourage everyone to leave your own reviews and comments so that others can learn from your experiences. If there are business you would like listed because you think they are valuable, let me know.
About the Ads: To keep this a forever free site I needed a way to offset some of my costs, so I’ve added in some advertising links in the sidebar. I only put up ads for products and servicses that I currently use, have used and/or really believe are good, quality companies. I will never display ads that I don’t personally believe in. Every time you make purchases through the links on this site you are helping keep the village up and running.
